Job Purpose:
To manage and control the overall technical and operational activities related to denim fabric manufacturing, ensuring consistent product quality, customer requirements, and compliance with defined standards.
The position will be responsible for coordinating with Production, Quality Assurance and Marketing teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and timely resolution of technical and quality-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Denim Manufacturing & Process Control
Monitor the complete denim fabric manufacturing process from yarn receipt to finished fabric.
Ensure effective process control at various stages of manufacturing.
Identify process deviations and coordinate with concerned teams for timely corrective action.
B. Production Coordination
Coordinate with Production teams to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.
Identify bottlenecks and support corrective actions to improve productivity while maintaining quality.
Support production teams in reducing rework, rejection, downgrade and process losses.
C. Quality Assurance & Process Quality
Ensure incoming yarn and raw materials meet approved specifications.
Monitor quality parameters at every stage of the manufacturing process.
Review laboratory test results and fabric inspection reports.
Ensure final fabric meets approved quality standards before dispatch.
Participate in the analysis and closure of customer complaints.
Conduct root-cause analysis for major quality issues and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
D. Cost Reduction & Productivity Improvement
Conduct technical feasibility studies for cost-saving and process-improvement proposals.
Identify opportunities for reducing manufacturing costs and process losses.
Ensure that cost-reduction initiatives do not compromise approved quality standards.
Monitor and report savings achieved through process improvement initiatives.
